Digital technologies haven't much made a genuine impact on the old couple's lives because they have made many experience using the computer and internet access to do many things such as; email, basic office application, web browsing, programs, sending and transfering digital photos and even edit them.
They can contact their families or relatives online and also other contact for emergency. They have learned to do many things with computers, but it's mostly for entertainment, and some things can be useful at times because they live far away...
If they haven't got access to ICT at home, they wouldn't be poorer.
